Applications welcome for a masters internship, with funding

The goal of this internship is to study the integrability properties of the rule 54 cellular automaton, a model of deterministic classical evolution which, despite its simplicity, allows to study a great deal of interesting physics (transport properties,etc…). The intern will study a possible connection with a famous integrable model, the six vertex model. This will allow them to get acquainted with the usual tools of integrability (transfer matrices, conserved charges), and to tackle topics in quantum condensed matter or classical stochastic processes.
